Band Program
Beginning Band is offered to students in 5th grade. Any student wanting to learn a woodwind, brass or percussion instrument will be given small group lesson instruction during the school day. Large group rehearsals will take place before or after school. These students perform twice a year normally with the Chorus, Orchestra and Prelude Strings groups. Every 3 years, we participate in a District-Wide All City Festival hosted by Central High School. Click Here for more information
Chorus Program
Students in Grades 3-5 are eligible for our chorus program. These students meet as a group once a week during lunch recess. General Music
All students at Jefferson Elementary participate in weekly general music classes. Students in grade K4-2nd Grade receive instruction twice a week for 30 minute sessions. Students in Grades 3-5 receive instruction once a week for an hour. All students have one performance opportunity per year in the following format:

Orchestra Program

Prelude Strings Program
Our Prelude Strings Program is an introduction to string instruments for students. These lessons are designed from the Suzuki method and is open to students in grades 5K-3rd. Students will memorize their music naturally through this method and will be encouraged continuation into our orchestra program.
